GARTNER STORAGE SUMMIT 2006, KISSIMMEE, Fla.; WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif–June 12, 2006 –CaminoSoft Corp. (OTC.BB:CMSFNews) , a leading provider of Active Archiving solutions for Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 and Novell NetWare environments, today announced that it has joined the Hitachi Data Systems independent software vendor (ISV) partner program. Hitachi Data Systems and CaminoSoft are working together to provide customers an active archive solution that has been tested and validated to ensure that customer environments and business critical data are secure and protected for the long term. CaminoSoft’s Managed Server HSM™ software supporting the Hitachi Content Archive Platform (HCAP) is a cost-effective solution that manages storage utilization and growth while facilitating the retention of data for compliance with internal governance and industry regulations. The company’s Managed Server HSM – HDS HCAP Edition accomplishes this by managing and archiving seldom accessed files from primary and secondary storage tiers to Hitachi Content Archive Platform storage tiers.   The Hitachi Content Archive Platform is an active archive solution comprised of both software and hardware, which supports policy-based integration from many distributed or centralized repositories, such as email, file systems, databases, applications and content or document management systems. It ensures the secure archival-quality retention, preservation or verifiable destruction of content, and enables users to leverage a set of common and unified archive services, such as centralized search, policy-based retention, authentication and protection.

“Our global installed customers—small to medium businesses and enterprise organizations—are experiencing an explosive demand for storage, driven by a wide range of space-hungry applications and their operational needs. CaminoSoft is delighted to be a member of Hitachi’s ISV partner program and offer archiving solutions that support the Hitachi Data Systems storage lineup.”

“CaminoSoft understands the growing need for a data retention and storage management solution in order to meet the regulatory demands its customers are facing,” said Jack Domme, senior vice president, Global Solutions, Strategy and Development, Hitachi Data Systems. “By working together with CaminoSoft, we are able to provide our customers with a reliable solution to address these business issues and give them the ability to store more data for longer periods of time and access this data quickly and easily.”
